Un compositor y un físico -Oscar Edelstein y Manuel Eguía - acondicionaron una sala de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, donde montaron una ópera experimental. La utilización de tecnologías específicas logra que ese espacio se transforme en un instrumento musical.

​"Viaje a Santa Mónica de los Venados" en la UNQ
El Salón Auditorio de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ) se convertirá en escenario de un hito musical y artístico sin precedentes. “Sala Cristal Sónico” es una obra de Oscar Edelstein y Manuel Eguía, docentes investigadores de la UNQ, que integra la Sala a la obra (denominada "Viaje a la Catedral de Santa Mónica de los Venados"
 
“Siento y sé que con la Sala Cristal Sónico con Manuel Eguía hemos descubierto y/o creado una nueva rueda (¡!) que tendrá consecuencias relevantes e impredecibles en el plano de la perspectiva acústico-musical, sobre todo cuando sus usos y aplicaciones se vayan haciendo más conscientes y sus metodologías y técnicas, dominadas”, declaró Edelstein.
